- BE AWARE: She’s an Aries with the personas of a Gemini. So who is she? KATE MANOUCHEKA ANASTASIE AIREY also known as the Miss. Chevious eMCee is a 19-year-old multi-faceted craftswoman who has been writing ever since her brother’s death in 7th grade. She finds refuge in releasing her emotions through lyrical and artistic expression. She has been featured in numerous expressive outlets such as Young Chicago Authors’ Say What magazine, YouMedia {She’s their poster child}, Gallery 37 Center for the Arts, True Star magazine, HHW School for the Performing Arts, On The Money magazine and Youth Communications Chicago’s New Expression newspaper. She is the recipient of the NAACP’s ACT-SO Gold Award for Poetry on the city level and went on to nationals, She has also competed in Women of the World’s Poetry Youth Slam, Louder Than A Bomb poetry slam, National Women of Achievement’s Oratory Contest and won 3rd place in Mike E’s Art Flow Contest. She was even showcased on CBS Morning News. She is currently completing her first chapbook, “S.H.E.: Stories of Her Escape” and working on the production of her first CD "Walking Contradiction".
